Typical Women

Antigone is the not the typical type of women. This is because a typical woman is thought to be someone who follows the rules all the time. But, Antigone on the other hand, does not follow the rules. She breaks laws and does what she wants. Ismene though, she is the typical type of women. She tries to follow rules and not break them. Based on the texts we've read so far, the women are portrayed as strong women. Katniss from the Hunger Games does everything by herself, she is independent. She also breaks rules and doesn't care about what she looks like, her main thought is about her family. The Golden One from Anthem, breaks the laws and goes to try and find Equality in the unknown to try and live with him. Most books do portray men and women as their stereotypical gender roles. This is because the authors try to base the books off of what society thinks about people.     -David Lai
