Strong Women

 

              Antigone is an example of the anti-women. She doesn't "go with the flow". Antigone has to do things her ways even if that means disobeying laws. Ismene can be considered a typical women. She obeys laws and doesn't want to get her hands dirty. The women portrayed in Anthem are weak. The women rely on the men for everything but food. The women rely on men for children. In The Hungar Games, women are both strong and weak. Katniss is strong as she provides for her family. Katniss' mom is weak as she can't do things after her husband died. She mourns continusly showing a "typical women". Usually novels like to portray men as stong and women as weak. Men are the ones who work all day for their families at home. Men are usually educated. Wome stay at home with their children. Women cook and clean and usually are not educated. Usually in everday life, there are typical women and men.
