The Tension Of "A Story

The central tension or main idea of “A Story” by Li Young Lee is about a father whose son is growing up and doesn’t want to hear any more of his stories.  In the story it says  “Sad is a man who is asked for a story ,” which I believe is a metaphor.  Comparing emotion to a logical equation is personification.  I also think that the speaker wasn’t very close to his father.  He doesn’t have a main theme of love, but maybe of anger.

  1. Not a bad thesis statement for being sick but i feel as if it could be better. Your thesis statement and your connentary on such didnt wuite answer the prompt or dive deep enough into a lit analysis. Maybe next time you could give a little more for the reader to chew on and digest so that you do spark the readers imagination. But, at the same time, I understand not all prompts lead themsels to great lit analysis for all people. I struggle with this myself. So great effort! Looking forward to see your improvement! :)
