Om- word of peace

Om- word of peace
“Already he knew how to pronounce Om silently-this word of words.”(pg.3) This quote has the word Om; I did not know why at first this meant this much. This word seemed so small but mastering this skill of saying Om silently, is very sacred and takes great skill and peace.
“Om is the bow, the arrow is the soul, Brahman is the arrow’s goal at which one aims unflinchingly.”(pg.8) This shows the importance of Om. Asking what the word Om is really means is like asking what god is, everyone says something a little different. But it means a lot to many people, as said in the quote it is the soul goal of the Brahman.
“It was one word, one syllable, which without thinking he spoke indistinctly, the ancient beginning and ending of all the Brahmin prayers, the holy Om, which had the meaning of the perfect one or perfection.” (pg.89) This is why this is a very important motif, it is used many times and has I huge meaning, epically to the Brahmins. This is hard for people to understand that this is their religion.

  1. Your response was good, although you didn't explain your last quote, and more just jumped to the conclusion. Otherwise it was fine.
