love for something you cant live without

There are many themes in Taming of the Shrew, the one I have chosen is love can be for a person or an object and they will do many things to get it. In Taming of the Shrew Petruchio conveys his want for money and even married a terrible woman to get it. After he explores his options he decides to stay with her and tame her so he can have the money. Also all the love for Bianca follows this theme. There are three men who want her and try anything to try to be with her they go through many obstacles, But in the end only one wins. A work with a theme similar to this one is the theme of Tiger’s Bride. The dad also has a love for money and will bet anything to win even his daughter; therefore he bets his daughter and loses her causing extreme pain and agony.

  1. This is really close to the theme that I had. It is true and I agree and you did a good job giving examples from the book.

  2. I think that your connection to the tiger's bride is a great example for your theme of people pursuing objects or people and will do many things to get it. Nice job.
